Itinerary
DAY 01: Uros Floating Islands and Amantani Homestay
- [Morning] – Arrival & Refresh: We will pick you up directly from the Bus Station and take you to our comfortable lodge. Here, you can enjoy a revitalizing hot shower and a delicious breakfast before your adventure begins.
- [7:40 AM to 8:00 AM] – Port Transfer & Uros Islands: We transfer you from the lodge to the port to board our motorboat. You will sail to the legendary Uros Islands, stepping onto floating reed islands—some only 20 meters long—to observe the incredible lifestyle of the Uros people.
- [Midday] – Scenic Navigation to Amantani: Enjoy a beautiful 3-hour boat ride across the pristine waters until we reach Amantani Island. Here, we break into smaller, intimate groups to stay with welcoming local families.
- [Afternoon] – Mystical Mountain Trek: Explore ancestral trails surrounded by vibrant nature as you trek to the island’s peak (4,150 masl / 13,615 feet). Marvel at the ancient Temples of Pachamama and Pachatata while soaking in panoramic views.
- [Evening] – Cultural Exchange & Homestay: Share authentic moments with your designated family over a lovingly prepared lunch and dinner. Celebrate the night with traditional island music before resting in your rustic family accommodation.
DAY 02: Taquile Island Weavers & Return to Cusco
- [Morning] – Breakfast & Island Hopping: After a nourishing 01 breakfast, we embark on a short, picturesque boat ride to the neighboring Taquile Island.
- [Midday] – Exploring Taquile’s Living Art: Walk among ancient ruins and connect with the beautiful local people. They are world-famous for their intricate and fascinating weavings, preserving their history in every thread.
- [Afternoon] – Typical Island Lunch: Savor 01 typical lunch in Taquile, tasting the authentic flavors of the region before we take the relaxing return trip across the lake to Puno.
- [4:00 PM] – Arrival in Puno & Transfer: We arrive at the port in the afternoon and provide a prompt, safe transfer back to The Bus Station at approximately 4:00 PM.
- [9:30 PM] – Comfortable Journey to Cusco: Board your comfortable bus back to Cusco, allowing you to rest and relax under the starry Andean sky.
- [6:00 AM] – Arrival in Cusco: Wake up refreshed as you arrive back in Cusco the next morning at 6:00 AM, concluding an unforgettable expedition.
