Itinerary
Day 01: Cusco – Qesiuno – Circle Lake
- 07:00 PM – Dinner Under the Stars: Enjoy a gourmet Peruvian dinner. Spend an unforgettable night gazing at constellations and shooting stars while sipping a warm coca tea as a greeting to the Apus (mountain spirits).
- 05:00 AM – Departure from Cusco: We pick you up from your hotel to begin a 3-hour scenic drive to the trailhead.
- 08:00 AM – Energizing Breakfast: Our professional chef prepares a hot, local breakfast to fuel your first 15km (9.5 miles) of adventure.
- 09:00 AM – Into the Green Valley: Explore a vast Andean valley where hundreds of alpacas graze and local farmers maintain ancestral traditions. You will catch your first glimpse of the majestic Ausangate Mountain in the distance.
- 12:00 PM – Lunch and Rest: A midday break to recharge your spirit before the second leg of the day.
- 02:00 PM – Puccacocha Glacier View: Reach approximately 16,000 feet, standing directly above Lake Puccacocha. Witness the power of an active glacier crashing into the pristine waters below.
- 05:00 PM – Sunset at Circle Lake: Arrive at our campsite at Circle Lake. Relax in our dining tent as the sun dips below the horizon.
Day 02: Circle Laguna – Rainbow Mountain – Cusco
- 06:00 PM – Arrival in Cusco: We drop you off directly at your hotel, concluding your epic rainbow mountains peru experience.
- 05:00 AM – Andean Wake-up: Rise to the smell of fresh coca tea delivered right to your tent, followed by a hearty breakfast.
- 06:00 AM – The Final Ascent: Begin the 3-hour climb to reach the summit of Vinicunca. Since you camped nearby, you will beat the large crowds arriving from Cusco.
- 09:00 AM – Summit of the Rainbow Mountain: Reach the peak of the rainbow mountain (approx. 5,200m / 17,060 ft). Enjoy unlimited time to soak in the incredible 360-degree views and celebrate your success at this world-famous landmark.
- 12:00 PM – Farewell Lunch: Enjoy a final celebratory meal with our team before we begin the return walk.
