Itinerary
Day 01: Cusco – Abra Malaga (Biking) – Santa Maria (Rafting)
From the high Andes to the tropical jungle on two wheels.
7:00 AM – The Adventure Begins: We pick you up to start the journey. Sit back and watch the scenery transform as we drive up to the Abra Malaga Pass (4,200 masl).
Downhill Biking: Strap on your protective gear and take a deep breath of fresh mountain air. We begin a spectacular 3-hour downhill descent on brand-new mountain bikes. Feel the wind on your face as we drop 2,000 meters, cruising past waterfalls and mountain villages until we reach Alfamayo for a snack break.
Arrival at Santa Maria: We continue biking/driving to Huaman Marca, where our transport takes us to Santa Maria. Here, we settle into a local hostel and enjoy lunch.
Afternoon Rafting: After relaxing, get ready for action! We head to the Vilcanota River for an exciting rafting adventure (included in your plan based on text context). Navigate the rapids and feel the rush of the water.
Evening: We return for a nutritious dinner to recharge after an exhausting but exhilarating day. Enjoy a pleasant night in the jungle heat.

Day 02: Santa Maria – Inca Trail – Santa Teresa
Authentic trails, cliff-side views, and hot springs.
7:00 AM – Into the Jungle: We wake up shrouded in the jungle mists. After a hearty breakfast, we begin the trek with a short but intense climb.
The Original Inca Trail: This section of the Inca Jungle Trail is authentic history. As we wind up and down precipitous cliffs, your guide will reveal the secrets of the ancient Inca culture.
Tropical Hiking: We descend into the valley for lunch. Relax in hammocks and keep an eye out for local wildlife and the explosion of flavor from wild maracuya (passion fruit).
River Crossing: After lunch, we continue trekking along the surging Urubamba River. Get ready for a thrill: we cross the river using a cart and pulley system (cable car)—safe yet exciting!
Santa Teresa Hot Springs: After trekking approx. 16km, we arrive at Santa Teresa. Here, we visit the pristine natural hot springs. Sink into the warm water and let the aches of the trail melt away.
Evening: We check into a comfortable hostel in Santa Teresa and enjoy dinner together.

Day 03: Santa Teresa – Zipline – Aguas Calientes
Fly like a condor and walk the railway to the citadel.
Morning Choice: You have a choice at the start of the day: continue trekking or choose adrenaline.
Zipline Adventure (Optional): If you choose the Zipline, you will fly 150 meters above the ground over rivers and jungle across 5 different cables. Are you brave enough for the “Monkey” or “Superman” position? Make sure to book ahead to ensure the safest and highest quality service.
Hike to Aguas Calientes: The group regroups at Hidroelectrica Station for lunch. From here, we enjoy a scenic 3-hour flat trek along the train tracks, accompanied by the raging river and lush vegetation.
Arrival: We arrive at the tourist town of Aguas Calientes. You can relax, explore the town, or visit the local hot springs (optional) before dinner. We recommend an early night to be fresh for the big finale.

- Walking Hours: 3 hours from Hidroelectrica.

Day 04: Machu Picchu – Ollantaytambo – Cusco
The Lost City of the Incas.
The Ascent: Today is the day! You can choose to hike up to Machu Picchu (approx. 1h 40 min) or take the optional bus.
Guided Tour: Once inside, your guide will lead a 2-hour tour, explaining the history and significance of the main temples and sectors.
Free Exploration: After the tour, the city is yours to explore.
- Optional: If you booked in advance, you can climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (spaces are limited!).
Return to Cusco: After enjoying the Inca jungle adventure, you will return to Aguas Calientes to catch your train to Ollantaytambo.
- Train Departure: Between 2:55 PM and 9:50 PM (subject to availability).
Transfer: Upon arrival at Ollantaytambo, our private transport will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
