DAY 01: CUSCO – OVER NIGHT BUS –PUERTO MALDONADO – COLLPAS TAMBOPATA INN LODGE

• [Arrival/Midday] – [Welcome & Off-Road Journey]: You will be warmly welcomed at the bus station or airport and transferred to our Puerto Maldonado office for a briefing. We suggest storing large luggage here to ensure a comfortable 4 day Puerto Maldonado Amazon tour. Next, embark on a 2-hour overland ride in a 4×4 truck into the forest, followed by a half hour boat ride upriver to the welcoming “Collpas Tambopata Inn”.
• [Afternoon] – [Rainforest Immersion]: After a welcome reception and a delicious meal (breakfast or lunch, depending on arrival), step into the living jungle. Enjoy an introductory walk to spot fascinating amphibians, reptiles, and mammals in their natural habitat.

DAY 02: MACAW CLAY LICK (Collpa Chuncho) – KAYAKING – NIGHT WALK

• [4:30 am] – [Journey to El Chuncho]: Wake up very early for an incredible 1:30 hours boat ride to the world’s largest macaw clay lick. Keep your cameras ready; the riverbanks at dawn offer the best chances to spot capybaras, tapirs, or even the majestic jaguar.
• [Early Morning] – [The Avian Symphony]: Arrive for your unforgettable Chuncho Macaw Clay Lick 4 days experience. Settle into your chairs and watch hundreds of vibrantly colored macaws (reds, greens, blues, yellows) and parrots gather on the wall to consume essential mineral salts.
• [Mid-Morning] – [Botanical Discovery]: Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and free time. Later, walk through our botanical garden with a professional guide to uncover the ancestral secrets of local tropical fruits, timber, and medicinal species.

DAY 03: MAMMAL CLAY LICK – PIRANHA FISHING

DAY 04: BACK TO PUERTO MALDONADO

• [Morning] – [Early Departures]: If you have an early flight, enjoy a fresh breakfast before our boat safely transfers you back to Puerto Maldonado and directly to the airport terminal.
• [Morning to Afternoon] – [Organic Farm Tour]: If you have a later departure, extend your Collpa Chuncho 4 days adventure! Tour our organic farm to learn about local crops (yucca, sugar cane, banana) and taste exotic seasonal fruits. Discover traditional medicinal plants used by locals for generations to heal wounds and illnesses.
• [After lunch or at 4:00 pm] – [Final Journey]: Our boat will take you back to Puerto Maldonado, ensuring a smooth and safe transfer to the airport, bus terminal, or your hotel accommodation.
