Itinerary
Day 01: Cusco – Abra Malaga (Biking) – Santa Maria – Santa Teresa
From the high Andes to the tropical jungle on two wheels.
6:30 AM – 7:00 AM – Pickup: We start the adventure early. We pick you up from your hotel to travel through the legendary Sacred Valley of the Incas, famous for its lush crops and ancient palaces.
Stop in Ollantaytambo: We pause for 30 minutes in this living Inca town. Here, we will have breakfast and buy supplies (water, chocolates, energy snacks) for the road.
Drive to the Summit: We continue driving for 1 hour to the Abra Malaga Pass (4,350 masl / 14,272 ft). Get ready for the cold mountain air and spectacular views.
The Downhill Biking Experience: From the pass, we begin a thrilling 3-hour downhill descent on bicycles. You will feel the temperature change as we drop from the snowy mountains into the high jungle, passing rivers, creeks, and fruit plantations until we reach Huamanmarca.
Lunch & Transfer: At Huamanmarca, we board our transport for a short 30-minute ride to Santa Maria, where we will enjoy a restorative lunch.
15:00 PM – River Rafting (Optional): For those seeking more adrenaline, you can join the rafting activity on the Urubamba River (Level III and IV rapids). This 2-hour experience is pure fun (Note: Not included in the price).
Transfer to Santa Teresa: After the rafting, our transport will take us to Santa Teresa, where we will spend the night in the warm jungle climate.

Day 02: Santa Teresa – Zipline – Hidroelectrica – Aguas Calientes
Fly through the canopy and hike the scenic railway route.
8:00 AM – Morning Adventure: We wake up in the tropical weather of Santa Teresa. After breakfast, you have the option to start the day with high energy.
Zipline (Optional): Experience the Inca jungle from the air! You can join the Zipline activity (Note: Not included/optional) to fly across the valley.
Transfer to Hidroelectrica: After the morning activities, we take our transport to the Hidroelectrica station. Here, we will have lunch and a moment to rest.
Hike to Aguas Calientes: In the afternoon, we begin a scenic 3-hour hike alongside the train tracks. This flat trail is surrounded by lush vegetation and offers the first glimpses of the mountains surrounding Machu Picchu.
Arrival & Overnight: We arrive at Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo), located at the base of the mountain. We will check into our accommodation and rest for the big day tomorrow.

Day 03: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco
Sunrise over the Wonder of the World.
5:00 AM – Early Start: Today is the day! We wake up early and have breakfast to maximize our time at the citadel.
5:30 AM – Bus to the Top: We head to the bus station to board the first buses. The ride takes about 30 minutes, winding up the mountain to the entrance.
6:00 AM – Enter Machu Picchu: We enter the site just as it opens. Witnessing the sunrise illuminating the Inca jungle Machu Picchu sanctuary is a magical experience you will never forget.
2-Hour Guided Tour: Your expert guide will lead you through the most remarkable places of the citadel, including:
- The Semicircular Tower
- The Temple of the Three Windows
- The Intihuatana
- The Temple of the Condor
Exploration & Return: After the tour, you have free time to explore on your own or take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes (Lunch not included).
Return to Cusco: In the afternoon, you will board the train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo. From there, our touristic bus will transport you back to Cusco.
