Day 01: Cusco to Bamboo Lodge – Into the Mystical Cloud Forest

[Early Morning] – Journey to Paucartambo & Ninamarca: We depart Cusco early in our comfortable bus, traveling toward the folkloric village of Paucartambo. Along the way, uncover ancient history as we explore the pre-Inca funerary towers of Ninamarca.

[Mid-Day] – The Magical Cloud Forest: Descend into a vibrant cloud forest adorned with beautiful orchids and lush flora. Feel the thrill of spotting Peru’s national bird, the vibrant Cock of the Rock, playful monkeys, and with a little luck, the elusive spectacled bear.

[Afternoon] – Arrival at Bamboo Lodge: Reach Pilcopata, where the crisp jungle air welcomes you. Settle into the Bamboo Lodge, where you can refresh in private bathrooms and showers before resting to the enchanting sounds of the forest.

Day 02: Bamboo Lodge to Soga de Oro Lodge – Deep Rainforest & Machuhuasi Lake

[Morning] – Scenic Drive to Atalaya Port: After a hearty breakfast, continue by private bus past traditional coca plantations. We will stop at a breathtaking viewpoint offering panoramic vistas of the endless green jungle and the winding Madre de Dios River.

[Late Morning] – River Navigation: Arrive at the port and embark on a motorized boat adventure. Feel the warm Amazonian breeze as we navigate the waters, spotting exotic early birds and tropical flowers along the riverbanks until we reach our lodge.

[Afternoon] – Native Rafting at Machuhuasi Lake: Glide peacefully on a traditional native raft across the tranquil waters of Machuhuasi Lake. Prepare to be amazed as we look for giant Capybaras (the world’s largest rodents) and fascinating prehistoric-looking birds.

[Evening] – Sunset & Alligator Search: After witnessing a spectacular jungle sunset, experience the thrill of a nighttime excursion. We will go in search of alligators gliding through the dark waters before returning to the rustic Soga de Oro Lodge for a well-deserved rest.

Day 03: Soga de Oro Lodge to Cusco – Macaw Clay Lick & Scenic Return

[Early Morning] – Colorful Parrot Clay Lick: Wake up early to the symphony of the jungle and head out to witness a vibrant natural spectacle. Marvel at the small parrot clay lick, where colorful birds gather in a stunning morning display.

[Mid-Day to Afternoon] – Return Journey: We will take our boat back to Puerto Atalaya. From there, board our comfortable van for a scenic and relaxing ride directly back to Cusco, ascending once again through the enchanting landscapes of the Cloud Forest.
