Machu Picchu by train 2 days and 1 night, is the least demanding option to visit the lost city of the Incas, a special tour for families, people who can not do long walks or who do not have much time. Starting from the trip in a luxurious train with a view all the way to reach the small town of Aguas Calientes where you will have time to explore its streets and also go to relax in the thermal baths, then have dinner in a restaurant under the mountains that accompany Machu Picchu, and rest in a comfortable Hotel. The next day, go up early to the Machu Picchu citadel, be the first and experience the amacener over the mountains.
This day we will coordinate your pick-up from your hotel, to take a private bus to the train station in Ollantaytambo, which will last 1 hour and 30 min. approx. Then you will board your train to hot waters, a trip that will last 2 hours approx. All this travel time is compensated with beautiful views of sacred valley to Machu Picchu, in the town of Aguas Calientes a member of our team will wait for you to take you to your hotel, after getting comfortable you will have free time to travel its streets and go to Relax to the hot springs.
Visit the Machu Picchu (Manuel Chavez Ballon) museum and orchid exhibition. This is open from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm and is a 35 minute walk down the road to Puente Ruinas. It is a very illustrative museum that gives an interesting introduction to Machu Picchu. (It is worth it!).
After having breakfast at the hotel, your guide will pick you up to help you board the first bus (6:00 am.) or if you wish you can walk to Machu Picchu (optional). Your guide will take you to explore the most important places in Machu Picchu, will explain the importance of each of them, in addition to answering your questions (approx. 2 hours and 30 min). After you will have the free time to be able to walk through the citadel on your own and take the best photos for your memory.
You can climb the mountain of Huayna Picchu or mountain Machu Picchu (the mountains behind Machu Picchu). It takes 45 minutes to reach the top and the view from the top but it is worth it (The limit is 200 people per day that are allowed to climb, so if you want to do it, it is advisable to go immediately after your tour) . Also on the top of this mountain you can walk to the Temple of the Moon, it will take about 45 more minutes to arrive and, from there, one more hour to return to Machu Picchu.
