PUCAYAQUILLO FALLS FULL DAY

The Pucayaquillo Waterfall is located in the Shapaja district just 37 km south of the city of Tarapoto. The route follows the banks of the mighty Huallaga river surrounded by beautiful landscapes. In addition, on the route you can see the spectacular confluence of the Huallaga river with the Mayo river.

h2>PUCAYAQUILLO FALLS FULL DAY

Our trip begins at 9:00 am, where we will pick you up at your hotel and board our transportation towards the entrance of the falls. The Pucayaquillo Waterfall is located 37 km from Tarapoto and a 45-minute walk from the town of Shapaja between the confluence of the Cerro Escalera Regional Conservation Area and the Cordillera Azul National Park. We will start the 45-minute walk through the jungle enjoying the environment that surrounds us, the Amazon jungle has much to discover and within this walk we will find various wonders. After the walk we will be able to see the beautiful Pucayaquillo waterfalls, where we will take a break and bathe in its crystalline waters which end in a pool with sandy soil through which it is possible to move without swimming and the rock where the fall impacts has a part that can be climbed and placed just below to feel the full force of the current. After that relaxing bath in the falls we will have our lunch to start the return walk, admiring the flora and fauna until we reach the exit to return to the city of Tarapoto.

This tour is highly recommended for hiking and nature lovers who want to disconnect from the stressful environment of the city and breathe fresh air that nature offers us.
